One Badda electrocution victim dies

One of the three madrasah students who were electrocuted in the capital city’s Badda has died.

Habibur Rahman Saimon, 15, succumbed to injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Saturday noon.

He was the son of Nasir Uddin of Comilla’s Barura upazila.

Saimon and two others – Shakil Ahmed, 18, and Shamim Hossain, 15 – were electrocuted while chopping down trees at Darus Salam Hosainiya Madrasah in Bhatara on Wednesday.

Tofayel Ahmed, a teacher of the madrasah, told thereport24.com on the day of the incident that the three victims were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s burn unit.
