Dhaka cafe attack: Tahmid to face charges of hiding info

Thereport24.com Correspondent, Dhaka:

Police are set to press new charges of hiding information about the barbaric Gulshan cafe attack against Canadian university student Tahmid Hasib Khan as the court cleared the way on Tusday.

The court also cleared Tahmid and former North South University teacher Hasanat Rezaul Karim of all charges under section 54 of the CrPC. Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Md Nur Nabi passed the order, reports BSS.

Another Dhaka court on October 2 has granted bail to Tahmid in the sensational Gulshan cafe attack case. Tahmid, who were seen holding gun and walking along with the terrorists in a couple of pictures taken by a man from a flat adjacent to the bakery, were arrested on August 4.

A total of 22 persons were killed by the terrorists in the July 1 attack on an upscale cafe in capital's Gulshan area. Five terrorists were also killed in the Operation Thunderbolt by the army commandos. A cafe worker too lost his life coming between the exchanges of fire.
